As the weather was only getting worse we took to what we know best.....drinking! With nothing to do only walk and enjoy the storm we took our travelling beers and decided to go for a walk around the island.

Askeskar has been part of the Mattsson family since the 1800's when it was given as a wedding gift to a local house maid and her husband. Since that date Askeskar Island has become a member of one of Vasterviks most treasured islands. Today Askeskar is protected by Kalmar Lansratt as a Nature Reserve.
