Set Free

Mr Toad finally set free from his hole in the ground. A great site.........sad that he'll probabley be eaten in 5 minutes by a bird......oh well! Enjoy it whilst you can!

Mr Frog!

Outside the builkding is the old fuel tank which is set under the ground. Accessed by a manhole Maria decided to take a look inside only to find that most of the hole was filled with soil......Sat on top of the soil directly in the center Mr Toad was sitting where for maybe 2 years he has lived on the grubs down there, not able to get out.... Maria comes to the rescue and saves the old fella.!

The generator

This beast of a machine seems to have beaten me for the moment. Its the old generator is what use to kick in when the wind turbine failed. Its a big old monster which is going to need some muscle power to move this out of the building.

Clearin out!

Most of the shit has now been cleared ou and Maria is starting to take out the internal walls out. More and more of this build is be coming more of a reality as the time moves on. Whilst the weather is good and the sun is shining we are starting work around 6am and finishing about 6pm. Maria finally has found the kitchen and cooking some mean meals throughout the time.

Spring Arrives

What a beautiful evening which marks the start of spring. Maria and I spent our first evening alone on the island. Maximus has settled in perfectly, running around and give the mice a run for their money. However, Mufasa has an issue with going out doors. Not happy at all, guess he could be the only gay cat on the island!!

Th boys go out!

Monday saw the first day that the boys went out to the island, I guess this day also was for Maria and I the break from the town and finally out to the island for the long stint. A beautiful day today and a nice journey for all of us.

The dump pile begins.

After the first day the pile is starting to build up. All the eqiptment sadly will be moved into one of the barns until mid July when we hope to move it all into town and disgard it for scrap.

The fall of the unit....

This machine took over most of the day due to its weight....Finally it falls only to be picked up once again and thrown on the pile.

Work starts on stripping out!

Today saw the first day of the big job of taking all the equiptment out of the building. Kind of sad in a way that someone once went to all the trouble of installing all this wiring and equiptment only now for me to attack it and pull it apart. The day went well.....
