Some History...........

Maria was born on the island in 1979 and spent most of her childhood out there. Once a thriving family fishing community, 1987 Askeskar became only a summer retreat when the last memeber of the family moved into town.

In the 1980's a company called Vattenfall trialed windturbine power. However, having run out of budget some time later the windturbine was removed leaving the maching house with all its contents. Some 25 years later it is our plan to transfor this building into a small summer retreat, and so history continues.
