Bless this door.

Here you can see the door that nearly lost me my life. We never did find the bug after I closed it in the room whilst I was running far away. Maybe you can find it when you stay??

JUSASIC PARK

I cried today. Whilst building the bedroom door Maria was in town with her mother therefore I went about the mission myself. Once the door was completed I failed to realise that the door had a key and upon shutting the door to the bedroom I had infact locked myself in. Not a good thing as when I turned around I saw the biggest thing I had ever seen.

This thing was 3cm long and had wings like a Jumbo Jet, and then there was me. I couldnt get out. Not a chance. Help, but noone came. Sadly I had to break the surround off the door that had just taken me 3 hours to build. It was that or I would have died a sorry death.

Our bedroom door

So much has happened since i last spoke. Im sorry but due to power and also me forgetting the adapter I havnt really been keeping you up to date. But lets try now. Last week I took it upon myself to try to construct the bedroom door. What a mission. I swear it has been designed by NASA.

Kitchens open

As the time is moving by its almost time to get cooking. I started on the kitchen area today and the units went in without any problem. A few additions tomorrow and the little unit should do the job very well. Guess you'll have to wait until then.

Maria was back again with her paint brush ensuring they all looked great by the end of the day. Dont worry I'll check them later. :-)

Wednesday BAD!!

Today, Wednesday started off bad. We went to install the second window to the frint only to find that the wood had swolen slightly when meant that the glass was not fitting. Infact the gap was 5mm too small for the glass.

Sadly I spent 4 hours ruining Marias pint work by plaining and sanding the window to enable the bloody thing to fit. By 11.30am the window was in and Id had enough.

New windows

Tuesday everything was coming together. We were able to fit the first window to the front of the building. Due to bad weather we had to hold back on this which meant that the wood was open to the weathers, not good. However, the first window went in well. Looking good.

Finishes

We spent the afternoon cutting and applying all the finishing touches. The skirting boards, devides and coving went up with a few gaps due to the miss shape of the building however, Im sure we will get round it.somehow.
